About the role:
Supply Desk are working very closely with a Secondary School based in Horsham that are seeking 3x full time Teaching Assistant to start September 2023 on a long term contract, with the school potentially looking to make it permanent for the right individuals.
The School are looking for Teaching Assistants that ideally has experience working in a similar role or relevant experience supporting secondary aged students. You ideally will have experience working with students with additional needs and be understanding of this. You will ideally have relevant qualifications and training in education and be a positive person that engages well with students.
The role will be supporting students in the classroom and also in small groups. The role is a great opportunity for anyone that is interested in a career in education. The School is a highly successful secondary school which comes with a good reputation for staff to work in and for students to learn in.
Pay: Daily Rate (£77-£90)
Location: Horsham
Start Date: September 2023
Hours: Full time and Part Time available
Duties may include:
Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
Working across Key Stages 3 and 4
Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the schools
Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
Reporting back as appropriate using the schools agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising
