Job Description: Traffic Management Operative

Coyle Personnel is looking for experienced and reliable Traffic Management Operatives with NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding, or 12D M1, M2, & M5 or TTMBC & 12AB tickets to join our agency for regular contract work in your area

A Traffic Management Operative is responsible for setting up temporary traffic management on the roads to protect the work force when carrying out vital road construction or road repairs. This is a safety critical role which requires candidates to work safely and be alert while on duty. This is a very important role. Without temporary traffic management, many infrastructure projects would simply not get done.

Some of the duties include, but are not restricted to:

* Setting up temporary traffic management signs, cones and traffic lights as required by our client.

* Carrying out site checks and maintaining the traffic management periodically.

* Monitoring traffic flow and manually controlling the traffic lights to assist with traffic flow.

* Marshalling road closure points and advising the public of diversion routes and allowing access to residents only.

* Liaising with the contractor on site and the public, working as an ambassador for the client company, carrying out their instructions in a professional and efficient manner.

* Carrying out stop and go duties as and when required by the client company.

* Adhering to site method statements, and the clients health and safety policy.

Hours:

Most of our vacancies are temporary contract roles. Where possible we work with our candidates to tailor the number of shifts per week to suite their requirements.

Rates

£10.50ph to £13ph depending on tickets and distance

Compliance and other things to consider:

To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of NRSWA Unit 1 Signing Lighting and Guarding, 12DM1M2 & 12D M5 or TTMBC & 12AB tickets. Training will be given to the right candidates at our discretion.

This is a safety critical role, so pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is mandatory.

To be considered for this role you would need to get yourself to the location of the work site every shift. The location of the work will change frequently so having your own transport would be an advantage but not essential.

Please note you will be working outside in all weather for sometimes long periods of time.
