Job summary

United Learning is a group of schools, which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country. We seek to improve the life chances of all the children and young people we serve and make it our mission to bring out 'the best in everyone' students, staff, parents, and the wider community. Uniquely, our Group includes significant numbers of schools in both the public and the private sectors, working together for mutual benefit.

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated and driven property professional to join the Group estates team. Working within this multi-disciplined team, your role will be varied, responsible for a portfolio of circa 15 schools in the Midlands, you will gain experience across the full property lifecycle of a school, including funding, project delivery, liaising with landlords as well as due diligence for new schools joining the Group. In addition, you will work closely with the Heads, School Business Managers and facilities teams to identify key priorities for your portfolio of schools.

The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive, and confident and possess good communication skills, with the ability to adapt according to the stakeholder/ situation and possess a logical and considered manner. In addition, you will have a keen interest in further developing your skillset within a property environment.

You will ideally come from a professional built environment background (consultancy or clientside) preferably with a focus on schools, although applications from those working with Higher Education, Healthcare or multisite organisations are equally welcome.

The role is offered on a remote basis with regular travel to your portfolio of schools across the region, you will also be expected to travel to the groups central offices in Peterborough and London and support your peers in the estates team if/when required.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to work within a more holistic property environment as well further developing their skills within the wider property environment.

Schools Leadership has been retained, as our exclusive advisor for this appointment and any third party or direct applications will be forwarded to them.
