Job summary

Assistant Accountant Role Swaffham

Established company based Swaffham is seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role is key to ensuring the finance department operates smoothly.

Your key Responsibilities include:

* Handle purchase order approvals within set limits and efficiently manage outstanding orders.

* Authorise credit notes up to specified limits.

* Organise supplier payment runs and handle ad-hoc payments efficiently.

* Manage asset financing and ensure company bank & credit card reconciliations are accurate.

* Oversee contract invoicing, ad-hoc invoices, and month-end invoice production.

* Process expenses with precision.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

* Prior exposure to similar roles and sound understanding of accounting practices.

* Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and strong computer literacy.

* Industry-relevant qualifications like AAT would be advantageous.

* Exceptional numeracy skills.

* Experience with automated accounting and online banking platforms such as Xero.
