Company Overview
We are working with a privately owned engineering company who are specialists in the offshore, oil & gas and renewables markets.
They are looking to recruit a new Senior Mechanical Design Engineer due to growth in the business.
This role is for an ambitious senior design engineer who wishes to further their career within a small and growing dynamic business which undertakes multiple quick turnaround projects simultaneously.
The role will direct into the Engineering manager, overseeing the technical assurance, delivery and management of a number of design projects. Typically, these relate to specialist handling equipment for a range of offshore and subsea applications.
Job Description
You will be supporting the design engineers in numerous ways including:
* 3D Modelling
* Concept and Detail Design
* Calculations and Analysis
* Report Writing and Technical Presentations
* Mentoring and training junior engineers
Skills & Experience
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Product Design or similar.
* Experience in Solidworks/Inventor CAD package or a similar 3D modelling tool.
* Experience of working in a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
* 3-5 years experience including experience of mentoring or leading staff.
* Experience of FEA or structural analysis
