Our Home

Our home is a detached 5 bedroom home situated in the Liverpool L9. The home can support up to 5 young people and is a registered home for children with Autism and Learning Disabilities. The home has two large reception rooms, kitchen / dining room and a large garden at the back of the home. There is a separate sleep room with shower facilities for staff to sleep in. We have two vehicles to use for transport to school and to support with activities and trips out.

The home supports young people between the ages of 10 to 18. The young people live full time in the home and can have varied levels of contact with their families and with people who are important to them. This is sometimes supervised by the staff team.

All our young people have learning disabilities, Autism, communication difficulties and require varying degrees of support. We fully support and promote choice and expression for our children and they have personalised their own bedrooms to their own taste and likes. We support our young people to be as independent as possible but there are times where we need to support the young people with their personal care needs such as showering, bathing, dressing and supporting with toileting needs.

We nurture, mentor and listen to the children and act as role models to support and build them through ups and downs during their journey with us. We utilise a positive behaviour support approach which focuses on improving the quality of life of a young person to support them to achieve positive outcomes for the future.

The ethos of the home is upbeat, fun active and nurturing. Staff provide constant engagement and experiences to demonstrate better ways to approach life and how to make safe choices. We work openly and transparently and at times, addressing difficult behaviours and supporting them through tougher times. Every day is different no two days are the same.

Our staff team consists of 15 staff, including a Manager, Deputy Manager, two seniors support workers and support workers
