The opportunity:
Fancy working in a newly created Environmental Manager role in a company that will likely see its turnover double this year from £450m to £1bn? Where we are looking for a heavy hitting professional to come in, help grow a department in a hugely cash rich company and tell us what to do, not the other way around?
To set the scene, we are a hugely established yet growing engineering & utility organization with construction sites who, due to a huge increases on all sides of our business, need to bring in an Environmental Manager to oversee the Environmental & Sustainably aspects across our various sectors such as utilities, energy, power, water etc.
We can look at any location in the UK as our offices are in multiple UK locations, so a lot work can be done from home.
It's all about you:
We are pretty open to the person here, but this is a role for an ambitious Environmental & Sustainably manager who wants to really lead this department and grow it.
You will need a strong Environmental Management background in either utilities, construction or power (great if all 3!) and managed teams of Advisors before where you will be bringing in operational planning across a massively growing organisation.
But in a company that will realistically see its turnover double this year, this is a role for a candidate who really wants a role they can make their own and mould the department as it grows and the larger SHEQ department.
The role itself:
As already alluded to, this is a newly created role where we are looking for an Environmental & Sustainably Manager to lead and manage the E&S function in our business.
Whist we have an E&S part of the business, we are now in a position where we need someone to take the operational side to the "next level". You will report directly to the Group Head of Environment and Sustainability and work alongside HSEQ Regional Managers
We need these teams managed so they are as efficient as possible, sign off final designs and grow the department however you see fit in a cash rich company with huge growth ambitions.
The company:
This will be working for one of the fastest growing companies in their sector where, through growth, are making big moves. So a utility & engineering company who offer world class engineering solutions within utility and energy industry.
We have seen huge growth in the likes of the rail, telecoms, power and water. So offers a real chance to be part of this journey.
