Job summary

Waddington Brown are working in partnership with CLAAS, a Global family-owned organisation on their appointment of a key role within the Senior Management Team on the Executive Committee in the UK. Reporting to the Senior Vice President Global Human Resources and the Chief Financial Officer on a local level, the Head of HR ensures the smooth running of the HR operations within the UK and Ireland sites. Being a hands-on manager, leading a small team, the role is varied and incorporates both strategic and operational elements as well as playing an active role in the Global HR team on projects and Group wide directives.
As Head of HR, your role will involve:
* Managing all core HR activities including recruitment, payroll, engagement and retention as well as maintaining the HRiS
* Business Partnering with a specific area of the business, supporting with recruitment, budgeting and other HR issues
* Acting as a challenge partner to the Board of Directors and an active member of the Executive Committee as the HR expert and working closely with the Employee Council
* Managing the succession planning and talent management
* Developing our workforce by finding and empowering our talents on all levels and pushing employer branding initiatives
As Head of HR you will have:
* CIPD qualification, ideally to FCIPD level
* Experience of working within a multi-site organisation
* Experience of working at Board / Senior Executive level
* Enthusiastic personality and dedicated to drive the business further ahead
* A winning attitude be a trusted sparring partner for all employees on all levels
* Ideally, experience of working within a large global entity
* Previous close working relationship or management of an in house or outsourced payroll function including awareness of the basic workings of payroll and taxes for sense checking the output.
