We support our clients across five key sectors: Aerospace & Defence; Nuclear; Power & Renewable Energy; Industrial & Process and Infrastructure & Transportation.
Due to a recent restructuring, we have an immediate requirement for a Commercial Administrator to join the team.
Reporting to the Commercial Team Leader and working as part of the Commercial team you will be providing centralised project and commercial support to a multi-disciplined engineering team working on a variety of engineering products and systems.
This is a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the business and requires team working with a proactive and professional approach.
This is a junior role with scope for further development and progression.
Role Description :
* Provide support to the Commercial Team to complete a variety of regular administration duties as well as ad-hoc tasks as required.
* Follow the Commercial Process to ensure all projects are compliant to audit standards.
* Support the Commercial Team Leader with the month end invoicing process and work with the Engineering Project Managers to resolve any invoicing queries that arise.
* Collate weekly timesheets into weekly spend reports for multiple projects.
* Responsible for maintaining the Commercial Project Folder for each project and ensuring all project documentation is saved and stored correctly.
* Responsible for issuing the weekly payroll report for all workers, this involves updating project lists, chasing missing timesheets and timesheet approvals.
* Responsible for collating monthly expenses for the business and ensuring booking codes are accurate.
* Ensure the Project Information Management System is accurate and up to date for all live projects.
* Provide ad-hoc support to Engineering Project Managers as required for project reporting activities.
* Generate and maintain hourly spend trackers / commercial trackers for larger projects as required.
* Support commercial team meetings as required.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with other areas of the business on continuous improvement projects.
* Support Commercial Team Leader with additional tasks as required.
* Provide holiday / sick cover for other team members to ensure all commercial team responsibilities are maintained.
The Person:
* Would suit college graduate with a qualification in a business-related discipline who maybe working towards a further business / accounting qualification.
* GSCEs A C grade, with a minimum of Grade B in Maths and English Literature and Language.
* A Levels Grade A/A* B.
* Relevant experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
* Must be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* A good team player, able to interact with all levels of colleagues across the business.
* Good communicator with a pro-active approach.
