Job summary
A leading Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering Contractor are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in Glasgow. This is a great opportunity to join a leading Scottish firm at an exciting time of growth not just in Scotland but throughout the UK.They are looking for an experienced candidate to join the team and assist on some key, recently awarded projects as well as play a role in the development of junior and trainee Quantity Surveyors.
This role offers a good mixture of office, site and home based working with offices in Glasgow and Livingston.

* Due to on-going and future pending contracts, this is an excellent opportunity to work with one of Scotland's largest contractors and get exposure to interesting and prestigious projects.
Whats in it for you:
* A salary of between £55,000 - £62,000 DOE;

What youll be doing:
* The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control;
* You will perform cost analysis, seek funding options and prepare final accounts for submission;
* Negotiation and administration of Sub-Contracts and pay Sub-Contractors
* Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports;
* Be responsible for managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximising value for money.
What youll need to be successful:
* The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying;
* Experience in Water and Wastewater fields is preferable, although any civil engineering background will be considered;
* At least 5+ years post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying;
