We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering business in Wakefield. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have a mechanical mind-set, the ability to provide engineering support to the production lines (some Lean and CI knowledge is essential)

Manufacturing Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Production Engineer, Process Engineer, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, CI

* Routings and part setup using the chosen ERP system (SAP).
* Work closely with design on any changes, reviewing BOM and documenting changes.
* Create picklist/build cards and update databases with tooling changes.
* Ensure staff cross functional alignment to manage new / changed product into production.
* Plan and co-ordinate duties aligned with the NPI strategy and business milestones.
* Work with the team to ensure that existing methods of manufacture are proficient.
* Evaluate and analyse product designs to formulate the most efficient assembly processes.

Production Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, CI

* Experience working within a similar position.
* Manufacturing/assemblies background.
* Able to interpret designs/drawings.
* Computer literate / ideally able to use SAP and Excel.
* Relevant manufacturing/engineering qualification.
