Health And Safety Manager - Permanent - Grangemouth
Our client based in Grangemouth are looking to recruit a Health And Safety Manager to join their team.
Primary responsibilities of the Health And Safety Manager is to ensure the well being and safety of employees within the workplace. In a continuous process manufacturing environment, where safety is of utmost importance, you will play a crucial role in owning, establishing and maintaining a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, minimising risks, and safeguarding the well-being of employees.
Responsibilities:
* Bring HS&E functions to life as a critical and core element of our everyday business
* Proactively advise the Senior Management Team on matters related to Health, Safety and the Environment ensuring a framework of H&S structure, policies and strategies supports H&S organisational behaviours and actions.
* Ensure the business has living safety & environmental management systems which demonstrates the highest standards.
* Ensure all roles and responsibilities for HSE are documented and clearly understood across the business and that individuals are trained to the required standards
* Maintain legal, safety and environmental registers and ensure use of our current system My Compliance is optimised, communicating revisions of internal policies / procedures when legislation changes
* Initiate and work towards ISO 45001
* Maintain ISO 14001 :2015, ensuring the site complies with Environmental regulations and act as a point of contact with SEPA
* Implement and manage annual HS&E plans with key objectives to ensure continual improvement
Skills required:
* Experience within a fast paced Manufacturing environment.
* Member of IOSH or NEBOSH certified
