Cover Supervisor x3Start: ASAP
Area: WF17
On behalf of our workforce partner secondary school in Batley WF17, we are actively looking for Graduate Cover Supervisors (3). As a graduate you will have recent knowledge of what it is like to be in an educational environment and a learning environment. As a Graduate Cover Supervisor you will be a role model to those students who are striving to success but also to those how have yet to find their way and may need that extra nurture and support. You will be a part of a team of Cover Supervisors who support the support the teachers, the students and school ethos!
The school is well known for delivering high quality education for every student. Their aim is to prepare young people for a future in which they will be employable, ambitious, courteous and open minded. To achieve this, we provide an education that emphasises traditional standards of uniform, exemplary behaviour and respect.
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor you will or could be:
* Asked to deliver pre planned material to a full class
* Asked to deliver pre planned material to small group or in 1:1 settings
* Asked to help cover or assist a teacher in a classroom
* Asked to be the only teacher in the classroom
* Focus on keeping the students engaged
* Focus on keeping behaviour to the schools standards
* Asked to work with pupils who show challenging behaviours
* Asked to connect and support SEN students who need extra support
To be a Graduate Cover Supervisor I am looking for:
* A recent University Graduate ideally with a Secondary subject degree
* A current Cover Supervisor who has front of the class experience
* A youth worker or coach who again has experience of working with children
* A teaching Assistant looking to take the next step up
* A behaviour Support worker looking to get more teaching experience
* Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one!
The role of a Graduate Cover Supervisor is very important to a school, and the current need is very high!
