The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including physical, emotional, and learning difficulties. Your key responsibilities will include:
Individualised Support: Provide tailored support to students, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Progress Monitoring: Track students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents to ensure their educational development.
Emotional Support: Create a nurturing and safe environment, offering emotional support and encouragement to students.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education.
Inclusion: Promote a sense of belonging and inclusion for students with special educational needs within the school community.
Requirements:
Relevant experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with special educational needs succeed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs is advantageous.
