Role: HSQE ManagerBased: Longridge, Preston
Walter Carefoot & Sons (Construction) Ltd is a successful Construction Company who continually strive to be at the forefront of their Industry in North West England. We are a regional contractor with over 90 years experience of working on projects ranging from £(phone number removed) to £10M in value.
We operate under a number of Framework Agreements carrying out Partnered Projects for the Public and Private Sector, principally focusing on the Education, NHS, Commercial & Leisure Sectors of the Industry. We are looking for a HSQE manager to join our management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the ISO Accreditations :- ISO 9001 14001 and 45001
Complete the annual CHAS assessment and help with the Constructionline accreditation.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Liaise with HR and advise them on matters relating to health and safety.
Provide the Directors with advice on all matters relating to health and safety.
Assist Contracts Managers to compile the construction phase plan.
Carryout regular site inspections, completing the inspection report and issuing a copy to the site team.
Attend meetings as and when requested by the Directors, Contracts Managers.
Provide the site teams with advice on all matters relating to health and safety.
Assist with the procurement of contractors making sure the system is robust and fit for purpose.
Completing accident investigations and liaising with the companys insurers.
Maintain training records and arrange any training required for the purpose of health and safety.
Induct new employees.
The successful Candidate:
Must be legally entitled to work in the UK
NEBOSH construction Certificate
At least 3 years experience in a senior Health & Safety role.
Preferably a trade background
Experience of developing, implementing, and managing externally certified
HSQE management systems.
NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5 in H&S (Desire)
Member of IOSH, IEMA
