Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor - Masonry SpecialistCompany Overview: my client is a renowned leader in the stone masonry industry, specializing in the design and construction of high-quality, bespoke stone structures. With a commitment to excellence and a rich history of successful projects, we are expanding our team and seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join us in delivering exceptional craftsmanship. Types of serves provided include but not limited to: Brickwork, Restoration, Retrofit, Façade remediation, structural steel, full design packages, Waterproofing stone masonry and architectural stone.
Position: Quantity Surveyor - Masonry
Location: Essex
Responsibilities:
1.Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for stone masonry projects, collaborating with senior quantity surveyors and project managers.
2.Budget Support: Contribute to the development and management of project budgets, ensuring a clear understanding of cost implications related to materials, labor, and other project elements.
3.Tender Assistance: Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, and actively participate in the tendering process.
4.Quantity Take-Offs: Work alongside experienced surveyors to conduct quantity take-offs for stone masonry materials, providing valuable input for project planning and procurement.
5.Collaborative Support: Collaborate with project teams, architects, and subcontractors to gather relevant information and provide support in various aspects of quantity surveying.
6.Learning and Development: Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in quantity surveying and masonry specialization.
Qualifications:
1.Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2.Strong interest in stone masonry and construction cost management.
3.Basic understanding of construction costs, materials, and quantity surveying principles.
4.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
5.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6.Enthusiastic attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
