This role is for our client based in Melton MowbrayKey Responsibilities:
* Take charge of the recruitment process, engaging in a hands-on approach when necessary, and introduce innovative initiatives to elevate the candidate experience.
* Foster effective communication with managers, providing professional employment law advice on a broad spectrum of people-related matters.
* Direct day-to-day operations of a compact HR team, ensuring efficiency and cohesion.
* Provide guidance and support to the HR team in handling employee relation cases, spanning performance, conduct, and absence management.
* Lead and supervise investigation, disciplinary, and grievance processes to ensure fairness and compliance.
* Craft and implement robust HR policies and procedures to boost employee welfare and drive performance across all departments.
* Oversee the review of contracts of employment and training contracts to maintain compliance and relevance.
* Manage absence comprehensively across departments, encompassing both short-term and long-term scenarios.
* Aggregate and analyze employee turnover data, initiating impactful retention initiatives.
* Optimise the functionality of the HR & Payroll system, collaborating with the system provider as needed, to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
* Generate insightful monthly HR reports utilising the HR & Payroll system.
* Contribute to training initiatives, talent management, and the delineation of career pathways.
* Exercise oversight of the company-wide holiday policy, ensuring adherence and fairness.
* Supervise the Ragdale Employee Experience, elevating every facet of the employee journey.
* Lead and manage appraisal and reward processes to recognize and encourage employee contributions
