Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Role Purpose

We are currently recruiting for a number of Electricians to join us on a permanent and full time basis.

This role will involve working as a team of electricians working on a number of industrial and water industry programmed of work. You will be working with on strategic partner's sites across the Sutton and Surrey areas.

The Role

This is a permanent job role.

Contracted to 40hrs per week (on site hours) Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.

You will be paid for all travel time door to door.

* To be responsible for completing electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards

* Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to

* Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the projects quality plan and inspection and test plans

* To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise

* To coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices

* Promote and demonstrate the Bridges values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients

* Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peers

* To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the companys positive reputation

Requirements

* ECS gold card (essential)

* Experience working in an industrial environment

* Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects

* Emergency first aid or First Aider

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable

* EUSR water hygiene

* Thames water passport

* Test and Inspect

* PASMA / IPAF / Confined space

* COMPEX

* Industrial and/or panel wiring experience

* Fitness to work medical
