Jonathan Lee Recruitment is seeking highly motivated and skilled people to complement our workforce and join in with the development of new technologies and new directions for the company. We're looking for a Process Development Engineer within optics engineering , the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

The post will be based at the company's Coalville offices in the UK. Further worldwide travel will be a feature of the post when required. They will consider new graduates or recent graduates with a few years of experience in a relevant discipline.

During your first few weeks in this Process Development Engineer role, you can expect to take on some of the following:

Develop a close relationship with a software development engineer as well as the usual support team of mechanical and system design
Learn to operate the machine hands-on; for this, some knowledge of operating CNC machine tools may be helpful but not essential
Develop a working knowledge of sophisticated software and of the process of polishing various optic materials

To apply for this Process Engineer position, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

Engineering or physical sciences degree from a good university
Experience in optical engineering process or high precision measuremnt porcesses
Excellent analytical and practical skills, which will be applied to using robotic machines to perform complex polishing operations
Good working knowledge of the company's sophisticated software and the process of polishing various optic materials
Previous experience of working in the optics industry would be beneficial but not essential
