We are recruiting for a HGV mechanic to join Doocey Plant Hire Ltd, a division of Doocey Group working on 35 HGV vehicles, 225 vans and other plant equipment.
**The Role:**
You will work as part of a team of 5, reporting into the workshop Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting Doocey Group Fleet and Plant Operations ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high-quality standard, timely and meet all regulatory requirements.

**What you will be responsible for? **
* Fully inspect vehicles in the workshop, identifying any defects and correcting where necessary
* Undertake vehicle repairs when they arise
* Carry out pre-planned servicing and MOT preparations
* Attend onsite breakdowns
**Hours of work**
* Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm
* On call rota 1 in every 4 weeks. **On call rate payable plus callout bonus
* Weekend work available
**What Knowledge, Skills & Abilities do you require?**
* 3 years plus HGV mechanic experience
* Hold a full, industry recognised qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle Service, Maintenance and Repair
* Class 2 driving licence essential class 1 desirable
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Team player
* Ability to use own initiative
* Attention to detail
* Problem solving skills
