TeacherActive is proud to be working with a diverse Special Educational Needs and Disability/ SEND day and residential school based in Ripon. The school offers a broad balanced curriculum including core subjects alongside a range vocational learning. The school caters for students with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger Syndrome and Social, Emotional Mental Health(SEMH)
The School is looking to take on an engaging and resilient SEND teaching assistant to join their team. The successful candidate would have experience working with SEND students and preferably have experience working in a residential setting. Someone who understands personal care is a requirement due to the nature of the students difficulties. The Successful candidate will be able to work well within a team and have a positive attitude.
The Successful SEND teaching assistant will have:
Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
A caring and supportive nature
A flexible approach to students learning styles
Have experience of working with SEND students on a 1:1 and small group basis
Happy to give a strong level of personal care to the students
