Job summary
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a major infrastructure project, shaping the future of transportation in the Greatworth to Southam Area? We are looking for a talented Section Engineer with expertise in earthworks to join our team.As a Section Engineer, you will oversee construction operations and manage a team of junior engineers. Reporting to the Sub Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring works activities are carried out to the highest standards, within schedule and budget constraints. Your key responsibilities will include:
Supervising the site engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, from construction to closeout
Assisting with temporary works design schemes and allocating resources effectively in collaboration with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman
Managing the site setting-out team and fostering the performance and development of Site Engineers
Identifying and resolving technical challenges in coordination with the Sub-Agent
Monitoring subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
Providing essential support in the production of programmes, progress reports, and resource/cost plans
Contributing to financial forecasting and ensuring efficient resource allocation
The successful candidate will possess the following key skills and qualifications:
HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent
Working towards institute membership (ICE)
Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities
Construction supervision skills with a focus on earthworks
