Position: Contracts Manager / Drainage Depot ManagerLocation: Waltham Abbey, Essex
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Contracts Manager / Drainage Depot Manager, this is a permanent position based in Waltham Abbey, Essex. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will oversee and coordinate various operational drainage activities, such as gully emptying, reactive jetting, root cutting, CCTV, and lining. Operating across London and the northern home counties, the role spans diverse sectors, including highways, utilities, construction, and rail.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for depot management, including Health & Safety and monthly P&L.
Supervision and management of a depot team within a dynamic and innovative organizational structure.
Coordination and planning of off-site resources.
Promotion and management of safe working processes.
Management of contract performance, ensuring work standards and targets are met.
Addressing performance or personnel issues.
Cultivating effective client relationships.
Development, monitoring, and management of the works program.
Pricing new works using the contract and client-specific schedule of rates.
Monitoring delivery against cost and submitting monthly applications for client approval.
Conducting regular site audits, emphasizing quality and health and safety.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role within the drainage industry.
Ability to manage safe working processes consistently.
Good working knowledge of drainage across various types of infrastructure.
Possession of a CSCS card.
Health and safety-related qualification (SMSTS/IOSH Managing Safely).
Benefits:
