Seymour John is exclusively recruiting on behalf of an established market leading company who can demonstrate year on year growth for the past 10 years. They are a manufacturing / sales and distribution business with a growth target from £130m to £200m in 2025. This is as a result of continued ongoing investment into core growth business areas.
They seek to recruit a FBP because of an internal group promotion. In this role you will partner with an extensive sales function and be responsible for the monthly results analysis and commentary. You will manage all annual budgeting and forecasting processes coupled with long term planning for the UK and Ireland. Overall, its about leveraging the power of numbers, data and analysis to drive continuous and sustainable improvement to both revenue and profit.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
* Monthly results analysis & reporting, with commentary to aid business understanding.
* Manage all budgeting and forecasting ensuring suitable cost and profitability ratios are maintained.
* Preparation of annual and long term planning activity in particular: sales projections, resources, costs, expenses & ROI.
* Collaboration with the local sales teams by translating operational plans into financial logic.
* Collaboration with group finance to provide controlling input to the monthly closing process.
* Manage risks and opportunities and develop strategic plans.
* Implement financial KPIs
* Production of ad hoc bespoke reports for SMT and sales leaders.
* Work closely with fellow FBP who are based internationally to share best practice. This will include occasional international travel to Europe.
The candidate:
You will be a technically astute finance professional who has evolved their career and can demonstrate extensive business partnering experience ideally gained within an international corporate environment. Experience of using ERP systems such as Navision or SAP and strong excel skills to ideally include Power BI is a must.
Personality is key. My client seeks a candidate who is credible, professional, and approachable and able to work closely with various key stakeholders not only in UK&I but also within the wider group.
In return you will receive a competitive annual salary, bonus up to 10% which has regularly been paid (sometimes above 10%), pension to include up to 8% contribution from the company, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and the ability to purchase an additional 5 days and also private healthcare for self. Once inducted into this role the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis up to 2 days per week.
