If you answer is 'Yes', this is the job for you.A special school in Knaresborough is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for children and young people aged 3 to 16 years with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome and Complex Medical Needs. They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a full-time, long-term contract from after the February half-term until the end of the academic year.
As a Learning Support Assistant, your roles and responsibilities will be:
To work alongside the class Teacher with the day-to-day routine of the class.
To help run exciting lessons and stimulating activities which help to enhance the students learning and sensory skills.
To build strong rapport with the pupils and support with behaviour management when required.
You may also be required to support the physically disabled children with personal care.
