I am working with a professional services firm based in Manchester City Centre who are currently seeking an experienced and professional Secretary to join their Board of Directors. You will be accountable for the effective and efficient running of Group Board meetings, providing dedicated support and leadership of meetings for the Board and Advisory Board. You will have previous experience working with senior management and business leaders and feel comfortable and confident attending and participating on board meetings. This is great opportunity for you to step into an exciting position and make a real impact, working with a great senior leadership team. As this is a newly created role you can really make your own.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Timetable, plan and arrange all Group Board meetings.
* Ensure attendees are managed closely with a strong focus on external and senior stakeholders.
* Responsible for room set up, the introduction of any external colleagues and meeting etiquette and timing.
* Take detailed minutes for all meetings and ensue actions are recorded accurately.
* Work alongside the PAs to manage a structured follow up process for actions and deliverables.
* Prepare agendas and collate papers in advance of board meetings ensuring that all stakeholders have sufficient and accurate information before each meeting.
* Handle correspondence relating to any matters arising from each Board meeting.
* Work alongside the facilities and premises teams to ensure the office is running to a high standard.
Requirements
* Excellent administrative skills and an aptitude for using IT software.
* Current & demonstrated secretarial and/or PA experience.
* High level of discretion and confidentiality
* Experience supporting a Senior leadership team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent organisation and time management
* A flexible and practical approach to work
* Able to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced office.
* Experience of supporting senior members of staff and providing secretarial services
* Diary management and minute taking skills required.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise and set appropriate deadlines
