What does the role involve?

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a precision engineering company located in the Sheffield region. They are a leading specialist in the manufacturing of complex components for high profile industries including Nuclear, Petrochemical and Defence just to name a few.

Due to their increased workload, they are looking for experienced and talented CNC Milling Programmers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a division that is growing and giving you the opportunity to work on some exciting safety critical components, using exotic metals, and producing large bespoke projects for global OEMs.

You will be working alongside talented engineers on modern, up to date machinery, testing yourself against challenging, intricate parts and materials.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC Machines. You would be reading and interpreting engineering drawings, machining medium to large sized precision components to tight tolerances and self inspecting your own parts using manual measuring equipment. You will be machining various materials including Inconel and Moden, working on small to large sized components and performing basic machine maintenance.

What experience do you need?

* Strong engineering background - Precision or Heavy eangineering

* Minimum 3 years experience as a CNC Machinist - Milling

* Experience working with Fanuc / Mazatrol / Seimens control panels

* Previously machined complex parts for industries including Aerospace, Petrochemical, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas, Rail etc

* Previously worked with exotic materials - inconel, duplex, monel, titanium etc.

* Experience with machining to tight tolerances

* Confident working with medium to large sized components

* Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
