**Main Duties**
I need someone to carry out a variety of tasks and enable me, the employer, to live independently. Duties will vary daily and PAs should be prepared to carry out all reasonable tasks which the employer specifies.
I need practical support especially with domestic chores and these are things like:
* General traditional housework/cleaning - dusting, hoovering and cleaning surfaces, laundry, change bedding and watering outdoor plants etc (please note I use very few chemical products).
* Outside of home duties include you going to P.O., occasional top-up shopping and taking rubbish/recycling to bins etc.
* Food preparation and cooking if needed
* Occasional support in administrative tasks, paperwork and to communicate with professionals and utility companies
* Support with minor household maintenance, e.g. house improvement or sorting
* Occasionally picking up prescriptions and accompanying to appointments
* Personal care is non-intimate and I don't need lifting, but sometimes plants, parcels and furniture may do!
**Desired PA:**
I am looking for a person-centered Personal Assistant or domestic/cleaner who works with disabled people and is kind and capable (this isn't a carer or support worker role).
You need to be able to maintain confidentiality, be non-judgmental, have an awareness of disability issues including using positive language concerning mental health and disability.
You must be professional, be able to separate personal-life from work-life and not bring personal problems into the workplace.
You'll be friendly, trustworthy and respect professional boundaries and be able to see disabled people as autonomous and capable of making our own decisions.
Practicality is needed such as being able to follow instructions really well, be willing to help me solve immediate or longer term problems and be part of an 'unseen team' etc.
My PAs are resourceful, caring, reliable, with good time keeping skills and a great sense of humour!
