Immediate start
A high-profile retail organisation is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on an interim basis to help with year-end, some reconciliation, analysis and reporting work. Reporting directly into the Finance Director, the ideal candidate will be skilled in all areas of financial supporting and will play a vital part in supporting the business as they approach year end.
This is a 3-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of going beyond 3 months.
About the role:
You will be working alongside the financial and management accountants to prepare a robust and fully supported and analysed trial balance.
Responsible for all bank reconciliations.
Responsible for credit card receipts being up to date and reconciled in Sage.
Prepare month-end and year-end journals.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and adjust journals.
Analyse key P&L and BS accounts for management accounts providing commentaries and variance analysis.
Prepare financial statement disclosures and notes.
Prepare responses to the Prepared by Client (PBC) lists from the company's auditors
Prepare schedules to support the company corporation tax computation (disallowed expenditure etc.)
Skills required
Minimum of 2 years financial accounting experience
Experience working in a fast paced and demanding commercisl environment.
Advanced excel skills.
Experience of using Sage x3 is desirable
Experience analysing full P&LPlease note this role is office based Monday to Friday and does not offer hybrid working.
