Fantastic opportunityWe have a fantastic new opportunity opening up for a General Manager in a hotel in the heart of mid-Sussex. The ideal candidate will need several year's experience as a GM of DGM in a hotel with at least 30 bedrooms and offering conferences/functions/weddings.
You will be responsible for:
Setting of budgets and analysis of actual performance versus budget
Ensuring guest satisfaction
Liaising with Events Manager, Front Office Manager and other HODs
Recruitment, training and personnel issues
Inspection of all hotel facilities
Monitoring of supplier service and quality
Ensuring statutory inspections are carried out and that appropriate records are keptThe ideal candidate will also need:
A close control of costs and in particular identification of any staff savings close attention to detail in the presentation of the hotel and in staff/guest interactions
Ability to deal thoroughly with the many statutory and safety regulations imposed on the hotel
Ability to identify quickly the problem areas that need attentionCandidates will also need familiarity with the numerous admin and reporting duties such as Health and Safety, Fire risks, Food safety, Water testing , First aid, Licensing. Failure in any of these could lead to suspension of trading. Numeracy and Computer literacy skills
