This is an exciting contract opportunity at a leading structural steel company for a Health & Safety Manager to join a new construction site in Norfolk.About our Client
Our client is a leading structural steel company, operating nationally across the UK and structural steel projects across numerous sectors. They are now looking for Health and Safety Manager to join a new construction site in Norfolk on a fixed 12-month contract.
About the Role
Providing specialist Health & Safety advice, support, and guidance at both strategic and operational level.
Reviewing systems and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance to H&S legislation.
Ensure that all personnel adhere to safe working practices in line with the organisations Health & Safety policies, procedures, and processes on site.
Carry out inductions, assessments and inspections, challenging non-compliance when required and offering solutions.
Assist site managers with initial site setup to ensure all safety documentation and signs are in place.
Should any works be required to cease you would need to take photographic evidence and provide a detailed written report to the HSQE manager.
Support our site tradesman with ongoing health and safety training.
Carry our formal site inspections and provide written report scoring the site with photos to support.
Investigate & report to the HSQE Manager all potential RIDDORS, Accidents, Minor Injuries, Non-Conformances and Near Misses.
Investigate & report all Enforcing Authority visits to the HSQE Manager.
Analise site reports to find high risk tasks and how we can improve.
Attend monthly management meeting to present your findings and areas of improvement.
Produce monthly summary reports.
About the Candidate
Previous experience managing Health & Safety within the Construction industry.
Experience in the structural steel sector will be an advantage but not essential.
Minimum Tech IOSH Qualification.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations.
Report writing skills.
Risk Assessment writing experience
