We have an exciting opportunity for three SHE Advisors to join a leading infrastructure services company, supporting projects across Scotland (Glasgow), Reading, and Warrington.
About the Company:
Our client, a prominent player in the infrastructure sector, comprises three dynamic subsidiaries - Specializing in gas and energy engineering, water infrastructure services, and fixed-line telecoms, they are committed to delivering excellence in design, construction, and maintenance of critical national infrastructure across the UK.
Role Overview:
As a SHE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe delivery of projects, driving legislative compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Based primarily in the middle belt of Scotland, you will collaborate closely with project teams, providing expert advice, coaching, and training to promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist guidance on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters to project teams.
Support the development and implementation of the company's HSE strategy.
Conduct accident/incident investigations and facilitate learning to prevent recurrence.
Champion behavioural safety and promote a culture of risk awareness and mitigation.
Liaise with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Provide expertise on CDM regulations, including roles such as Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor.
Undertake H&S audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure adherence to standards. Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to coach and motivate teams.
Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
Ability to develop and deliver training materials effectively. Technical Skills:
Experience in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.
Proficiency in CDM regulations and environmental management.
NEBOSH Certificate and relevant construction SHE & Gas industry experience.
Qualifications & Additional Information:
NEBOSH Certificate and relevant industry experience essential.
EUSR Cross Country Pipelines / SHEA Gas certification preferred.
Additional qualifications such as Diploma in Health & Safety desirable.
Membership of safety or environmental professional body desirable.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
