ENGLISH TEACHERA small independent school based in the Epping Forest District Council, is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate English Teacher to join their team ASAP.
The School
This high achieving, successful Independent School located in the Epping Forest District Council, are looking to recruit a qualified English Teacher to join their team ASAP. Although a small school, this is a school with a big heart that provides a unique and enjoyable educational experience for students aged 2 ½ through to 16. Classes are kept to a maximum of 20 students, ensuring that every pupil can receive the individual attention that they deserve. Staff strive to provide teaching that inspires, motivates, and develops each student to fulfil their full potential.
In their last ISI inspection, it was stated that 'Pupils develop excellent knowledge, skills and understanding, often well in advance of age-related expectations. Pupils are enthusiastic and engaged, displaying excellent attitudes to all aspects of their learning.'
The school is located a 10 minute walk from the nearest underground station and parking is available.
English Teacher
Here lies the opportunity to join a very successful Independent School, led by an extremely supportive Senior Leadership Team. Being a smaller school, there is real 'family' feel when working and attending here, and as well as a very supportive staff, parents/carers share the same values when it comes to their children's learning and there is great collaboration between both. Being the sole person within the English department, the successful candidate would be leading the department, however, would have no direct reports. Schemes of work have been provided, however there will be an element of planning required.
The role is to start immediately, and the school require someone who is able to commit until Easter in the first instance. Should you have the availability, the role would continue until 10th July when the school break for their summer holidays. You would be required to teach English to Year 7 - Year 11, and you would also be a form tutor.
The role is full time, however there is the option that it could be 4.5 days dependent on your availability.
To be considered for this English Teacher role you must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
PGCE in English
Experience teaching English to KS3, KS4 and KS5
