If so, we extend an invitation for you to become a valued member of our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

We collaborate with various schools and Academies across Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire, seeking both full and part-time SEND Teaching Assistants. These positions range from daily supply to long-term cover roles, providing flexibility to accommodate your preferences.

Role Overview: In the capacity of a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role will involve close collaboration with teachers and fellow professionals to champion the learning and development of students with a spectrum of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and specific learning difficulties. Your responsibilities will encompass delivering one-on-one and small group support, executing individualised learning plans, and crafting inclusive learning opportunities tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer personalised support to students with SEND, both within the classroom and during individual or small group sessions.
Contribute to the implementation of individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), incorporating targeted interventions and strategies to facilitate student progress and achievement.
Foster the social, emotional, and academic development of students, cultivating positive relationships and nurturing independence and self-confidence.
Assist students with personal care and mobility requirements, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being are upheld at all times.
Collaborate efficiently with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to assess student needs, establish targets, and monitor progress.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, achievements, and noteworthy incidents or observations, actively contributing to the ongoing assessment and evaluation of support strategies.
Cultivate positive partnerships with parents/carers, providing regular updates on student progress and offering support and guidance as required.Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEND, either within a school setting or alternative educational or care environments.
Knowledge of diverse SEND profiles and an understanding of how SEND influences learning and development.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, coupled with the ability to forge positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
Resilience, patience, and empathy, underscored by a genuine commitment to supporting the individual needs of students with SEND.
Preferred but not essential: Relevant qualifications or training in supporting children with SEND (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools).
Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to reflective practice.Pay Rate: £80-£100 per day, contingent on experience.
