Job summary
Vision for Education are working with a number of schools across Cornwall and are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in and around the Liskeard area. We have roles available for both trainee and experienced Teaching Assistants and can offer a number of training courses to develop your knowledge, prior to working.Within these roles, you will work 1:1, in small groups and with whole classes, supporting the teacher and encouraging learning and development and providing a safe/nurturing environment. You will be working within primary schools 5-11 and may be asked to work closely with children with Special Educational Needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support English and Maths, as well as other topics the pupils are covering. You will assist with break and lunch duties and be involved with the class Teacher.
We have a number of roles that we are currently working on and have work to suit all preferences. As a Teaching Assistant, you may be called early in the morning for last minute cover or in advance for prebooked plans from the school / longer term roles that will be required.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants that have experience in the following fields:
-Teaching Assistant
-Healthcare Worker
-Support Workers
-Activity Instructors
-Youth Workers
As well as people who may have no professional experience but have experience of supporting young people with additional learning needs.
For this role, you must:
-Be available for a minimum of 3 days
-Be able to get toLiskeard
-Want to be a Teaching Assistant
-Hold a relevant DBS and be subscribed to the Update Service. The DBS is £45 with the Update Service being an additional £13. If you dont already have this, we can send you the preferred method to apply
-Have reference emails ready to go for your most recent and relevant role
