Job summary

As our new Network Engineer you'll have a major impact on helping us achieve our goal. You'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the Jet2 network infrastructure (e.g. WAN, LAN, WiFi, Campus and Telephony). You will collaborate with other Infrastructure Engineering and Development teams to create secure, scalable, reliable, and highly available network solutions that align with Jet2's business objectives and service level agreements

What you'll be doing:
* Provide Level 2/3 support and promptly troubleshoot network issues by co-operating with users, colleagues and 3rd party suppliers when needed.
* Ensure network security and compliance, which includes the administration of all firewall environments (in line with IT security policy) and patch management of all network devices.
* Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi access points and VPNs as per agreed designs.
* Provide out of hours support via the On-Call support rota and be prepared for occasional planned out of hours work when expected.
What you'll have:
* Hands-on network engineering experience working with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switching, Cisco IOS Routers and Cisco Meraki Environments.
* A solid understanding of industry best practices for Network Infrastructure & Design.
* Experience of working with Palo Alto physical and virtual firewall products would be advantageous.
* Qualifications in CCNP, CCIE and/or CISSP is desired but not essential.
