Job summary
Primary SEN TutorThe Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are currently on-boarding teachers and mentors to join their tutoring team for the full academic year in the Cambridgeshire area.
The mentor will deliver Maths and English support and will be expected to conduct a baseline assessment to assess the student's ability to deliver the curriculum they deem suitable.
Some pupils have been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD and are unable to access a school environment. The students usually work below age-related expectations. An EYFS specialist with experience working with SEND would be essential in order to bridge gaps in their knowledge and progress their learning.
The support will be taking place at the young person's home or in a local library on a part-time basis (up to 15 hours per week).

Location: Cambridgeshire

Hours: up to 15 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Duration: ongoing until a school placement is found
Contract Type: Temporary/part-time
Pay Rate: from £25 per hourExperience, Training and Qualifications required:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications is preferred
Demonstrated experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Possess UK classroom teaching experience and experience delivering tailored lesson plans
Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupilsTo be eligible for this role, the candidate must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
