Job Title: SEN Reading Specialist Team Leader

Location: Centre based - Must be flexible with travel

Salary: up to £35,000 (Depending on experience)

Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + more

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Duties:

Performance management of a regional team of SEN Reading Specialists, who are providing support to learners with low-level reading skills.
Conduct observations of the Reading Specialist team, ensuring they are accurately recorded to enable effective performance management.
Establish and maintain internal and external partnerships across the region, to ensure your team have access to a range of referral agencies.
Creation of monthly reports in relation to delivery, quality and achievement of KPIs and outcomes.
Provide training to members of your team across: reading screenings and interventions; behaviour management and engagement.

Ensure that suitable reading interventions are in place and monitored, to ensure progress is being made by learners.
Carry out quality assurance checks
Ensure that systems are maintained and that learner files are accurate.
Criteria:

Must have experience of working within a similar leadership role in an Education environment, ideally having worked with SEN learners.
Must possess a sound knowledge of reading development strategies and interventions, including Phonics.
Experience of delivering literacy and/or phonics based interventions.
Hold, or be willing to work towards, a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above.
Must hold own English and Maths GCSE at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalent.
Must have experience of delivering Maths, at GCSE level or above.
Full, clean, UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Must be flexible with travel.
