Job summary

Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a privately owned family business formed in 1947; a national M&E provider with an outstanding reputation for delivering excellent levels of service. Who currently employ over 800 staff and have a turnover in excess of £160m. Due to new contract wins and massive growth my client is looking to recruit a number of experienced Contract Managers within the Mechanical and Electrical field to work within the Midlands area. The right candidate ideally will be Mechanically biased.

The Contracts Manager is responsible to the Operations Director for:-

* Co-ordination of parties of the Contractual Agreements.

* Acting on behalf of the Company in contact with the Client and the Clients representatives on contractual issues.

* Allocating resources to the project.

* Co-ordinating the sub-contractors.

* Ensuring the Statutory and other legal obligations are met.

* Ensuring technical submissions are issued to the Client.

* Ensuring all costs and variations are correctly recorded by the engineering delivery team, review audit and submit to client team

* Ensuring all project target times are adhered to.

* Signing off all sub-contractor applications and raising payment/payless notices where applicable

* Production of and raising of monthly applications and agreement of with the client

* Production of monthly Cost reports to record status of profit / loss of each project

Specific duties a follows;

* Site specific H&S information, methodology and risk assessments Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only

* Site specific quality control plan prior to any installations commencing Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only

* Development of detailed construction and commissioning programmes defining critical path elements in ASTA Input to be provided by site engineering team for the Contract manager to produce (Off site Asta trained programmer can assist with this if necessary)

* Site Specific ITP plan and sign off schedule for walls, voids, ceilings, linked into construction phase programmes Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only

* Procurement, management and control of sub-contractors Engineering site to team to undertake Contracts manager ensure procurement is undertaken on time, to review, audit and submit to Ops. Director for final sign off

* Two weekly progress and commercial reviews with production of reports and short-term programmes to client team Contract manager to Produce with input from the site management team

* Production of RFIs Technical Submissions Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only

* Procurement of Commissioning Manager

* Client liaison to ensure soft landings requirements are satisfied

* Production of O&M manual information in conjunction with external company Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only

* Management of handover process Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only

* Management of Post Contract support to End User Produced by Engineer Delivery team Contract Manager to Review and sign off only
