Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) - Ad-Hoc ShiftsWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work ad-hoc shifts, 1-2 shifts per week, based at a Care Centre in Purfleet.
In this role, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide advanced nursing care to patients. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients' healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
* Conduct thorough physical examinations, medical histories, and health assessments of patients.
* Formulate accurate diagnoses, differentials, and treatment plans based on assessment findings and clinical guidelines.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies, as necessary.
Treatment and Management:
* Provide evidence-based treatment and interventions for acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments within your scope of practice.
* Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Health Promotion and Education:
* Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
* Promote a holistic approach to healthcare by addressing patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
Collaboration and Consultation:
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care to patients.
* Consult with specialists and refer patients for specialized care when necessary.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to record-keeping and patient confidentiality.
Quality Improvement:
* Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services.
* Stay current with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in advanced nursing care.
Emergency Care (if applicable):
* Provide urgent and emergency care to patients in crisis situations, including assessing and stabilizing patients and initiating appropriate interventions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Advanced Practice Nursing.
* Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
* Previous experience as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner preferred.
* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
* Commitment to providing patient-centered care and adhering to ethical standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
* Willingness to adapt to changing healthcare practices and technologies.
* Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if applicable)
