Job title: Environmental Educational Team - Waste WaterLocations: Bridgwater, Avonmouth & Bridport
We are looking for three (3) people is to join our environmental education team. The role will see us providing targeted environmental education to people about what not to put down sinks, toilets and drains. This exciting opportunity will be all about educating others to protect our environment.
Sewer Blockages and the associated problems on our client's network have a negative impact on our client's customers, the environment and their business from a performance and financial perspective. Engaging customers about putting things down toilet and sinks and the impact this has will be an important part of their plans to reduce blockages now and into the next AMP. We require people to work within our client's field teams to deploy a coordinated engagement strategy to change the attitudes and behaviour of their customers to prevent unflushables entering the sewerage network. The strategy and approach will be fully explained to the successful candidates
We would expect the successful candidates to work closely with customers, internal and external stakeholders, such as community groups to identify where effort and resources should be invested and what our approach should be to efficiently changing customer behaviour. You would be embedded in our clients local Sewerage Teams working with Fats Oils & Grease (FOG) & Wet Wipes related repeat incidents and assist in improving customer engagement for our client's customers. The role would work alongside Water Utility teams and report into our operations manager. This role would be predominantly field work and expected to work flexible hours during the day, as well as some evenings
Capabilities:
Strong administrative capabilities
Ability to self-motivate and manage your own time
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Ability to build and develop stakeholder networks at all levels
Knowledge of the waste water network processes an advantage but not necessary
Identify opportunities to drive progress with colleagues to help deliver great customer service
Creative and innovative mind-set
