What will the role involve?
Reporting into the Site Director, you will be a key member of the Site Leadership Team responsible for leading the Operations Team on a performance and cultural transformation journey. Youll be responsible for developing and implementing ambitious operational business plans whilst heavily contributing to the wider site business goals.

* Overall responsibility of the production department, with c200 direct and indirect reports
* You will lead the safety and quality culture transformation within the department and contribute ideas towards future site culture initiatives
* You will ensure that all activities within the team comply with the company, customer and legal standards
* As a leader and role model on site you will implement continuous improvement tools and best practice within the department and work as an ambassador for the zero loss and CI culture within the team.
* You will improve production efficiencies through CI and enhanced performance in line with the overall site strategy and KPIs.
* You will be developing and executing the 5 year strategy and business plan for the operations department and support with setting budgets in line with the wider site budget.
* You will be developing the site CAPEX proposal in collaboration with the Site Leadership Team and will demonstrate ROI analysis.
What will you need?
In order to succeed in this role you will need to be an ambitious, strategic and strong leader who has worked within a fast paced manufacturing company at senior management level. You will be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience in strong operational leadership with a deep understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing principles, culture change and stakeholder engagement.
You will also need;
* Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Experience of leading either (Total Performance Management), IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma), IWS (Integrate Works Systems) or similar
* Previous experience of implementing digital tools would be preferred but not essential
