Located in the East of Bristol, this Secondary academy celebrates variety and encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, and is seeking a talented and dedicated French and German Teacher to join their team for Terms 6 and 6!
Position: French and German Teacher + General Cover
Location: East Bristol
Contract: Terms 5 and 6 (Starting 15th April 2024)
The Role:
As a French and German Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in igniting students' passion for languages, particularly French and German. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging and interactive lessons that cater to students of varying abilities, fostering a love for language learning, and promoting cultural understanding.
In addition to teaching French and German, you will also contribute to general cover around the school, providing support and guidance where needed. This varied role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact across different subjects and year groups.
This role will be a 50% French & German & 50% General Cover.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality French and German lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to students' individual learning needs (KS3)
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for languages
Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology to enhance learning and engagement
Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Contribute to the wider life of the school through general cover duties, including supervising students, assisting with extracurricular activities, and supporting colleagues as needed Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching French and German
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Flexibility and adaptability to contribute to general cover duties around the school How to Apply:
