Job summary

A key client of ours is looking to hire a Pattern Maker as they look to expand their Manufacturing Materials team. This is a permanent, full time role based in Gloucester and they are looking for someone to start immediately.

Ideally, you will have good knowledge of composites, woodworking and metal work and some experience in CNC programming. Experience in setting up and operating machines such as sanders, circular saws, mills and lathes would also be beneficial.

The right candidate will be able to work independently on set tasks and demonstrate a high attention to detail whilst also being able to work effective as part of a team consistently to high quality. Proficiency in clear, written and verbal communication skills in English is also essential for you to be able to fulfill this role.
Your Main duties will include but not limited to:
* Maintenance of tools and equipment which includes cleaning and safe storage
* Constructing patterns and moulds from metal, wood and composite materials from drawings and CAD data
* Liaising with customers and contractors
* Carrying out day to day production as required, in line with manufacturing instructions
* Adhere to recommended stock controls as informed by the Pattern Shop Manager
* Assisting in research and development duties when required
* Visiting sites when required
* Maintain a good standard of housekeeping and ensure the working environment is clear of waste on an ongoing basis
