Excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to work in a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a range of mechanical and electrical equipment.
The role
Undertaking planned and preventative maintenance on a range of automated production equipment
Attending breakdowns, fault finding and repair
Assist in the upgrading and installation of new manufacturing equipment.
Keeping records of service histories, maintenance visits etc.
Fault finding on wiring, control panels and 3 phase motors
Identifying and reporting problems to the Plant Manager and working to implement improvements where possible.
Manufacturing jigs, fixtures and test equipment, working with Drills, grinders and lathes
Maintaining conveyor systems, gears, rollers and motors
Working with PLC's to identify faults
Installation and maintenance of duct work and pipework
Setting, operating and maintaining process control checks on production equipment.
The person:
Either a mechanical or electrical bias
You may have just completed your apprenticeship and be looking for your next role , a recent graduate or a confident mechanical fitter looking for a new challenge.
Ideally hold a relevant engineering qualification to minimum NVQ level 3 + or be a time served fitter
Have confident mechanical fitting skills
Be keen to undertake additional training where appropriate
Be happy to undertake physical work and occasionally work at heights
Have confident fault finding and repair skills
We are seeking candidates who have had exposure to as many of the duties above as possible however the company are happy to provided training for any gaps in your experience The company are a well-established manufacturer who are growing due to the current market.
