Job summary
We have an immediate need for a Warehouse Specialist in a secured facility in DC for a long term contract. This position will interact with dignitaries, members of Congress and the media so is not the typical warehouse environment. The position will cover the following functions :verifying materials and merchandise against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with storage methods
rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise will involve one or more of the following:
manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or pallet jack.
perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the establishment in which employed and receiving incoming shipments.
verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents;
ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, loaded into transporting vehicles
preparing and keeping records of goods shipped

Job Requirements
Candidates must have a valid Drivers License ; be able to drive various vehicles such as four door sedans, 4x4 sport utilities, 4x4 pick up trucks, cargo vans, stake bed trucks, box trucks ; operate a forklift and lift up to 50lbs
