More about you
As a Gas Engineer with Places for People you will be expected to ensure all gas appliances and systems owned by the group are serviced and maintained to meet all statutory requirements, customer expectations and group procedures. Our team of Gas Engineers carry out the maintenance and servicing works for our internal and external customers in a safe manner. As part of this team you will identify and record any defects found reporting parts/work required following van stock and material ordering procedures. You will maintain the tools, equipment and van provided to you and ensure they are kept in good working order.

Your working days will typically be Monday to Friday. There may be overtime available and also the occasional requirement to help out with the oncall rota.

More about your role
To be considered for this role you will hold a relevant technical gas qualification to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) and also possess all current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CEN1, CPA1 and HTR1. You will also have previous experience working in a similar role.
You will have a good understanding of domestic heating systems, a sound knowledge of boiler installs and boiler conversions, including flues, pipework and system upgrades. An understanding of health and safety in the work place is essential for this role. You will see the importance of providing excellent customer care and service and have a positive approach to engaging our customers.
Due to the operational travel involved in this role we require you to possess a valid UK driving license.
