Job summary
An Alternative Provision in Harrow for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health conditions is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join their team on a long term basis.This school consists of a Primary & Secondary Pupil Referral Unit, Hospital Education, Home Tuition and an outreach Inclusion Support Team; providing education for pupils from
5-16 years covering the four Key Stages.
The service provides a transitional education and support for up to 160 learners per year when they are unable to attend mainstream school. Pupils enter the service when they have been permanently excluded; as a respite placement; ill health (mental or physical) or occasionally by other circumstances.
Requirements:
QTS and NQT Induction completion or equivalent teacher training currently leading to full QTS and subsequently NQT Induction (essential)
At least a good first degree in a core subject (essential)
A range of experience in delivering the primary curriculum or a secondary subject area to children with SEMH (essential)
Further training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN (desirable)
