SUMMARY

Ansys is looking for an engineer with a passion for mechanical simulation and engineering education to develop effective and innovative resources to support academics teaching undergraduate courses using Ansys products. This role offers opportunities to: work with leading engineering academics and Ansys professionals; make a real difference to undergraduate teaching worldwide and strengthen your professional network. The position is located in Cambridge, UK at the Ansys Granta office.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Resource Development: create effective and innovative teaching resources (such as web tools, multimedia, projects, exercises with worked solutions, lectures, case studies, etc.) focused on the use of simulation in undergraduate mechanical engineering courses to enable Ansys products to be more effectively used
Community building: engage with leading academics online and face-to-face, write engaging content and contribute to discussions and support user group meetings
Presentation: demonstrate new resources to educators in meetings, online webinars and at conferences
Collaboration: Work with a vibrant, multicultural, interdisciplinary team at Ansys Granta and across the whole of Ansys
Some travel maybe required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A PhD (or equivalent experience) in mechanical engineering with a strong link to simulation
Two years of experience with Ansys simulation software either during graduate studies or work
Fluent spoken and written English
Experience of presenting in meetings and at conferences
Experience in writing educational or research articles
Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural group of engineers and scientists, often located in different time zones

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledgeable about the current trends in engineering education
Knowledgeable about various learning and teaching styles
Knowledge of multiple international higher education systems
Experience in teaching
Knowledge of materials in engineering design process.
