Job summary
Required - an experienced Senior Bioinformatician to drive the analysis and interpretation of NGS data, generated using a unique epigenetics platform, as well as to develop ways to create patient epigenetic profiles and discover novel biomarkers for both diagnostics and prognostics. You will gain exposure to cutting edge computational epigenetics and machine learning approaches and explore the latest bioinformatic developments for biomarker discovery, NGS and epigenetic data analysis. You can expect to collaborate with the wider wet-lab team to design, plan and analyse experiments as we further develop the platform technology and expand research areas.Your background will include:
A Ph.D. (or Masters with additional experience) in bioinformatics, computational biology, epigenetics, cancer biology, genetics, biostatistics or related fields
3+ years postdoctoral experience in industry or academia
Knowledge of NGS data pipelines (such as WGS, Exome sequencing, RNA-seq etc), including quality control steps as well as analysis and interpretation
Familiarity with variant calling packages and/or gene panels
Experience in analysing 'omics datasets for biological interpretation and actionable insights
Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools
Comfortable coding in R and Python
Scientific domain expertise in epigenetics or cancer genomics and relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals
